Mission

The Planning & Development Department exists to keep Dothan’s neighborhoods vibrant and thriving while supporting the growth of new, sustainable communities and developments. We aim to strengthen local businesses, improve transportation options, and ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all residents for a better quality of life.

Responsibilities & Divisions

This department is responsible for directing and coordinating activities related to all phases of planning and development. These activities are assigned to the following divisions:
