About the Land Development Division
Land Development administers and enforces Dothan’s land development regulations such as the zoning ordinance, subdivision regulations, tree preservation ordinance, and historic preservation ordinance. Land Development also provides administrative support to the Board of Zoning Adjustment, Historic Preservation Commission, and Planning Commission.
Property developers and/or development plan designers needing access to a state or federal highway are advised to call or contact the Alabama Department of Transportation on the ALDOT PERMIT INFORMATION WEBSITE.
