Building Permits
The purpose of this division is to provide for the general welfare of Dothan's citizens through the enforcement of adopted building codes. Once a permit application is received, a group of trained and experienced professionals review the building plans for code compliance. Then, each construction project from a single-family home to a large commercial building is inspected at the different stages of construction. After all inspections have been completed and any required corrections made, a certificate of occupancy may be issued.
