Commissioner Dave Stock

Dave Stock was elected to the Dothan City Commission on August 5, 2025.

A 1997 graduate of Saint Charles West High School in St. Charles, Missouri, Dave enlisted in the US Army to serve our Nation as an intelligence analyst in 1998 and soon after graduated from US Army Basic Combat Training at Fort Leonard Wood.  Dave went on to graduate from The U.S. Army Airborne Parachutist School at Fort Benning, The U.S. Army Aviator Qualification Course at Fort Rucker, The Army Aviation Safety Officer Course, The Army Instructor Pilot Course, The Army Maintenance Test Pilot Course, and numerous other Army education and training courses. Stock graduated Magna Cum Laude from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University with a Bachelor of Science in Professional Aeronautics and a minor in Management.

Dave Stock retired from active duty as a Master Army Aviator after serving over 23 years in uniform.  He received numerous awards and decorations from his Service during peacetime and combat operations and was stationed at numerous stateside and overseas locations.  Stock also started a local flight school in 2017 to help aspiring pilots learn to fly.  He sold the flight school in 2023, having grown it from one instructor and airplane to 4 instructors and 5 airplanes with over 60 students.  Dave then started Kay Wayso LLC, a real estate development company, and The Forum LLC, an event venue in Downtown Dothan.  Dave is still supporting Army Aviation in his duties as a Senior Vice President with B3 Enterprises LLC.  B3 is responsible for providing aircraft refuel support to all Army aircraft at Fort Rucker and the surrounding training sites.

Dave is the former President of The Wiregrass Chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association.   During his tenure, they constructed a new aviation education center at the Dothan Regional Airport and flew hundreds of local students in their young eagles flight program.  Stock is also a member of The Dothan Tuesday Rotary club where he enjoys supporting his fellow members and local charitable organizations.   Dave is proud to be a lifetime member of The Veterans of Foreign Wars (Dothan Post 3073), The Disabled American Veterans, and the Army Aviation Association of America.

Dave is married to Jennifer Townsend Stock and they have two children.  They’ve called Dothan home since 2012 and are active members of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

Commissioner Stock enjoys flying airplanes and taking family and friends on local area flights.  He also enjoys riding motorcycles, boating, hiking, and traveling to new places.

Dave Stock is proud to call Dothan home and his goal as District 4 Commissioner is to support our residents and make their lives better while helping to grow our city responsibly.
