Dothan Eastgate Park Archery Range
The archery range is a public range open to everyone. All participants, ages 16 to 64 must have a State of Alabama Hunting or Heritage license. The archery range is open each day except for Wednesday during normal park hours. All shooters must sign in and out at the Eastgate Lodge. No broadhead points are allowed and users of the elevated platform must wear a full-body harness.
The range was developed through a partnership with the City of Dothan and the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries; the Archery Trade Association; and the US Fish and Wildlife Service, Division of Federal Assistance. It has been host to the Alabama Recreation & Parks Association State Archery Tournament since 2013.
To enter the range use Eastgate Park's main park entrance, stop by the lodge and check-in, then keep driving past the lodge until you can see the range on your right.

Archery Classes
Dothan Leisure Services offers an Olympic-style archery skills class, which is taught at the Eastgate Archery Range. Class content covers archery history, safety, technique, equipment, mental concentration, self-improvement, The remainder of the class will be spent putting these concepts into practice.
