Grease Waste Hauler & Plumber Fats, Oils & Grease (FOG) Information

Grease Control Equipment Certification
All food service establishments (FSEs) are required to have their grease control equipment (GCE) inspected and certified at a minimum of annually by a City of Dothan GCE certified grease waste hauler (GWH) or plumber accordance with Sections 102-369 (f) and (g) of the FOG Ordinance. Non-Hazardous Waste Manifest
All FOG wastes hauled off the FSE site for disposal shall require the use of a Non-Hazardous Waste Manifest. Only the City's "Non-Hazardous Waste Manifest Form" shall be used. There shall be an original (8 1/2 inch by 11 inch) top page with 3 carbons. The grease waste hauler or plumbing company shall bear the purchasing cost and use the printing company of their choice. GWH Monthly Report
All grease waste haulers or plumbers hauling waste off the FSE site for disposal shall submit a GWH monthly report to the FOG Inspector no later than the 28th day of the month for the previous reporting month. Only the City of Dothan's reporting form can be used. View or download a copy of the GWH Monthly Report (PDF). This requirement is effective for the July 2016 monthly report due by August 28, 2016.
Approved Grease Waste Hauler & Plumber Companies
The City of Dothan's FOG Program will maintain a current list of all grease waste hauler and plumber companies and employees approved to perform work (including installation, repair, pumping, and annual certification) on grease control equipment in Dothan. All grease waste hauler (GWH) or plumber companies doing business on grease control equipment within the city limits of Dothan are required to enter into a written agreement with the City of Dothan. View or download a copy of the GWH/Plumber Company Written Agreement (PDF).
Grease Control Equipment Requirements
All new gravity grease interceptors (GGIs) for new construction projects are required to meet the minimum sizing requirements as determined by the City's FOG Program. Minimum sizing requirements are based on food service establishment (FSE) classification. GGIs shall ONLY be purchased from a City of Dothan approved GGI manufacturer and installed to the City's installation specifications. All HGIs approved shall have a Plumbing Drainage Institute (PDI) certification. Please contact the FOG Program Inspector at 334-615-4454 for assistance.
