The City of Dothan Leisure Services Department would like to invite everyone to the grand opening of the Eastgate Park Disc Golf Course November 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.  The ribbon cutting will be held on tee box #1 located on the front lawn of Eastgate Park at 2049 Sanitary Dairy Road.  The course is an 18 hole, with a practice hole, par 59 course with a total of 6,238 feet.  It was designed by the Disc Golf Association's Tom Monroe.  The course is characterized as a long open field course with some holes tucked behind obstructions.  The baskets are DGA's top of the line tournament Mach X baskets.  There will be no charge to play and the winter hours will be 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Saturday and 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. on Sundays.
