The City of Dothan, Dothan Education Foundation, and the Dothan City Schools in partnership with RESPECT.ORG present the 2nd Annual Back to School R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Rally. The 2014 rally will be held on August 2, 2014 at 5:30pm in the Rip Hewes Football Stadium.
The R.E.S.P.E.C.T. rally, which means Respect Every Single Person Ever Created Today, will feature host speakers, entertainment, music, and food. There will also be book bag give-a-way to the first 1,200 students! Those students will be given tickets as they enter the rally, which will guarantee them a book bag. All students will be given an armband for food.
The R.E.S.P.E.C.T. rally is open to all students who will be enrolled at any of the middle or high schools (grades 6th-12th) in the Dothan City School System during the 2014-2015 year. All students attending the rally should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Gates will open at 4:00pm. Volunteers are asked to be at Rip Hewes Football Stadium at 12:00 noon.
Students are asked to bring a canned good item to donate to the Wiregrass Food Bank. This gift of kindness allows students an opportunity to give back to their community.
