The 2014 Arbor Day Celebration will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 20th at the Dothan Central Fire Station. The guest speakers for this year’s annual celebration will be Tracy Lawrence from the Alabama Forestry Commission and Chief Larry Williams from the Dothan Fire Department. Dan Williams, Horticulturist for the City of Dothan, will present the tree that is to be planted in honor of the brave men and women who serve the public as firefighters.
This year’s celebration is sponsored by the City of Dothan, the Alabama Cooperative Extension, and the Alabama Forestry Commission. As part of the Arbor Day Celebration, the Alabama Forestry Commission will be sponsoring a tree give-a-way at the Northside Walmart Garden Center on Friday, February 21, 2014 beginning at 9:00 a.m.
