During the week of March 1, 2021, the City of Dothan will begin a soil remediation process in support of an approved EPA Brownfield Clean-up project. The work will take place on a site (corner of Whiddon St. and Linden St.) that was once an electrical sub-station. Approximately two feet of soil will be removed and new soil brought in to replace it. The City of Dothan currently owns the property and once the Brownfield Clean-up project is completed, the City will donate the land to Aunt Katie’s Garden to increase the amount of land on which to grow fresh vegetables for the community.
