On Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 10:00 am, the Planning & Development Dept, Community Development will hold a public hearing in the Dothan City Commission Chambers at 126 N. St. Andrews St., Dothan AL, to accept comments on proposed budget and project amendments to the FY 20/21, 22/23, 23/24 Annual Action Plans and PY 20/24 Consolidated Plan, as outlined below, as well as the draft amended Citizen Participation Plan. The City of Dothan receives CDBG funding from the U.S. Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for communities to provide decent affordable housing, a suitable living environment, and opportunities to expand economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income persons.

Project Scope will change from the Mitchell Wellness Center for Children & Families to Porter Square Mall Building Improvement Project; no change in Budget
City of Dothan PY 2020/24 Consolidated Plan
The City proposes to amend the Consolidated Plan in order to create a new program. The purpose of the new program, a Rental Rehabilitation Program, is to improve the housing stock in the City of Dothan for affordable housing.
The City of Dothan Consolidated Plan for FY 2020 – FY 2024 and a copy of the proposed CDBG Amendments and Draft Citizen Participation Plan will be available November 19, 2023 for public review and comment until 5:00 pm on December 19, 2023 at the City of Dothan Planning & Development Dept. & City Clerk Office, 126 North St. Andrews St., Dothan, the Dothan-Houston County Library System – Downtown Dothan Library, 435 S. Oates, Dothan, and on the City of Dothan website (www.dothan.org) under Documents for Public Review. Questions and comments regarding this public hearing should be directed in writing to Kelly H.
