The Dothan Police Department, along with Florida and Georgia authorities, are looking for a white male, approximately 55-60 years of age, 6'0", 200 lbs., gray hair, known as Robert Jack Mattos.

In January, 1999 this suspect purchased a Honda 4 wheeler from a Dothan citizen using a check on a closed account from a bank in Bainbridge, Georgia.

This suspect selects a victim that has equipment and/or vehicles advertised in local trading publications. Suspect then makes contact with victim on weekends when most banks are closed.

This suspect was last seen in Jackson County, Florida on or around July 25, 1999. He was last seen driving a late model green Dodge Durango bearing a Georgia license plate. Suspect is also know to drive a 1997 or 1998 Chevrolet or GMC half ton pick-up extended cab with matching camper shell, bearing Michigan license plate.

On occasion, this suspect is accompanied by a young white male that the suspect claims to be his son. Suspect picks R.V. campgrounds and fish camps to stay in while in the area to commit the criminal acts.
