The City of Dothan Police Department realizes
the importance of Community Policing. This concept involves not only an
active police presence, but community involvement to enhance the overall
relationship between citizens and their police department.
We are proud of our efforts and successes with such programs as our
classroom / ride-along Citizen Observer Program, Child Fingerprinting and
Car Seat Clinics, and all of the fundraising activities that we and the
community host for Special Olympics.
It is our belief that by working together we
can provide safer neighborhoods, improve citizen awareness, and enjoy the
best quality of life that our beautiful city has to offer!

YOU CAN REPORT SUSPECTED DUI
DRIVERS
The Dothan Police
Department, in concert with Cellular One and Alltel, are alerting the public
to a feature on their cellular telephone that can be used to report
suspected DUI drivers. The cellular user can dial *DUI (*384) on their
Alltel or Cellular One telephone and the free cellular call is routed
directly to the Dothan Police Department Communications Center. The City of
Dothan Signal Shop has provided signs which will be strategically located
throughout Dothan in order to remind motorists to assist law enforcement in
removing the DUI driver.
