These positions are located at the
recreation centers and schools where summer recreation programs are held. The work
schedules vary with night and weekend work required of some positions.
The City of
Dothan
conducts various background checks on initial hires, rehired employees,
and internal transfers/promotions whether part-time, full-time, or
temporary. Background
checks/investigations may consist of, but are not limited to Social
Security, Employment, Education Verification; Driving Record;
Personal/Professional Reference; Professional License/Certification
Verification; Criminal History; Credit History, Drug Screen; Physical
Evaluation and/or Psychological Evaluation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must meet the City of Dothans employment physical
standards which includes drug/alcohol testing.
Applicants should apply at the Personnel Department, City
of Dothan, First Floor, Roy Driggers Municipal Building, Monday through Friday, between
the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM. Individuals should be at least 16 years of age
and possess a valid Social Security Card. Applicants under 18 years of age must have a
work permit. Applicants must meet the City of Dothan's employment physical
standards which includes drug/alcohol testing. Evidence of previous experience and life
saving certificates, where required, must be presented when applications are submitted.
