The Recreation Board is composed of seven
community leaders appointed by the Mayor and City Commission. The Recreation Board, in
conjunction with the Leisure Services Director, is responsible for formulating effective
management policies for the leisure and recreational programs of the City of Dothan. Current Recreation Board Members

LEISURE SERVICES MISSION STATEMENT:
It is the organizational
purpose of the Department of Leisure Services to
provide the citizens of Dothan with a broad and
comprehensive selection of recreation programs and
leisure activities to enhance the quality of life in
the community, to maintain a system of parks and
recreation facilities for community enjoyment, and
to continue planning and developing future programs
and facilities as area needs change.
