A legal I.D. is required for all services. All connections require a $25.00 connection fee.  A residential deposit may be required in the amount of $100.00 or higher based upon credit history either with the City of Dothan or a recent utility provider, this includes electricity, water and sewage where available. A deposit of $10.00 may be required for water or sewer service only. No residential deposit is required for new customers which have proof of previous history of "good standing" with the City of Dothan or recent utility provider. A commercial deposit is based on two (2) monthly average bills of that location or business. The deposit remains on file with the City until services have been disconnected. Most services can be connected the same day if work order is processed before 12:00 p.m.  Any same-day service requested after 12:00 p.m. will be charged $35.00.
