The Internal Analyst provides operational support and management reviews for all city operations as required or requested.  Activities include:

• Special reports and studies at the request of the City Manager or Board of Commissions

• Audits various activities and operations as directed

• Information supplied on request to all city departments

• Development of recommendations to achieve better efficiency or better internal controls

• Information supplied to departments on problems they may not be aware of in their departments in the processing of information or the recording of the information

• Monthly review of utility billing reports to verify accurate integration of the reports

• Sample of utility customer bills each billing cycle recalculated for accuracy

• Reliable quarterly stopped water meter list for Dothan Utilities

• Assist departments in review and analysis of new software programs requiring conversion of historical data with development of reports as needed

• Monthly and year end analysis of diesel and unleaded fuel consumption by the city

• Co-ordinate and standardize the city Policies and Operating Guidelines
