Public Hearing regarding the rezoning of property owned by various owners, located within and in close proximity to the Newton, Burdeshaw, Cherry, Adams & Range (NBCAR) Historic District, from H-I (Heavy Industrial) & L-I (Light Industrial) Districts to B-1 (Central Business) District, to reflect the parcels erroneously omitted.
Ord. No._________Amending Ordinance No. 2019-92, the rezoning of property owned by various owners, located within and in close proximity to the Newton, Burdeshaw, Cherry, Adams & Range (NBCAR) Historic District, from H-I (Heavy Industrial) & L-I (Light Industrial) Districts to B-1 (Central Business) District, to reflect the parcels erroneously omitted.
Res. No._________Declaring certain properties which are overgrown with weeds, scrub, wild bushes, grass and other vegetative growth as injurious to the health, safety and welfare of the community as nuisances and calling for a public hearing to be held on the matter during the regularly scheduled commission meeting on July 21, 2020.
Res. No._________Amending the agreement with PPM Consultants, Inc., approved by Resolution No. 2017-298, dated September 5, 2017, for professional services for the US EPA Brownfields Area-Wide Assessment Grant Project, to increase the approved amount of payout under the grant from $276,000.00 to $296,289.60; a net increase of $20,289.60.
Res. No._________Executing the ADEM Notification for Aboveground Storage Tank documents for the newly installed aboveground petroleum storage tanks located at Water Production Well #29 and Golf Creek Pump Station Diesel Generator.
Res. No._________Accepting a grant from the Alabama Department of Transportation to be used to acquire one passenger bus and one van for Rose Hill Senior Center and agreeing to the required match of twenty percent (20%) an amount up to $28,000.00, and appropriating funds for said match.
Res. No._________Entering into an agreement with Troy University for Diversity: Sensitivity and Unconscious Bias training for all City employees. The cost for 355 police and fire staff is $11,939.00 and $17,896.00 for 680 more city employees for a total estimated cost of $29,835.00, and appropriating funds for said training.
Res. No._________Applying for and accepting funding in the amount of $21,520.00 from the 2020 Bureau of Justice Bulletproof Vest Partnership, to be used for the purchase of body armor, and appropriating funds for said grant.
Res. No._________Entering into an agreement with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) to become a sub-grantee and participant in the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force to investigate crimes against and exploitation of children in the City of Dothan, in the amount of $10,000.00, and appropriating funds for said grant.
Acceptance of an easement from Private Holdings, LLC & Tom A. West, III, to construct necessary improvements and appurtenances to existing utility facilities - Baywood: New Gravity Sewer and Pump Station Abandonment .
